Launching Svens Skincare

It has been a wild ride since I launched Svens Skincare on April 15, 2019. I have learned many lessons and the road has been filled with lows and highs. But I am thankful for the support I have gotten from friends and family and now consumers! The people who have bought Svens Everyday Mineral Sunscreen are going to spread the word and for that I am forever thankful.

Sampling is Hard - getting new customers to try Svens Mineral Sunscreen is not easy and takes a bunch of time. But I am going to keep chipping away on the Lake Shore Trail, the 606, and any other outdoor area that people need Sun Protection.

In 2020, I will have sample packs to give out to new customers!

I will keep reaching out to magazines and writers who can spread the good word about Svens being Non-greasy and Reed Friendly. The trends speak for themselves, shoppers want natural products that are not terrible for the environment. One of my proudest moments of the summer is when a freelance writer named Adam Hurley wrote up Svens in Men’s Journal and Gear Patrol!!

Another exciting event this summer was being accepted to join the Target Innovation Conference downtown Minneapolis. It would be a dream come true being sold on the shelf at Target. Getting 10-20 retail placements is critical in 2020. Shout out to our first ever retail placement, the Silver Room Pop Up in Wicker Park right below my old apartment
